TPU Patch for Security Companies
We produce company emblems, duty stripes, and name tags for private security companies. Send your approved design; badges with 100% TPU, UV printed, and 3D embossed will be produced starting from 10 pieces in 3 business days.
In the security sector, a badge is not just an ornament but an identity. In an environment where personnel turnover is high, uniforms are constantly washed, and visibility is crucial, the choice of materials directly affects costs.
1. For whom are we producing
- Private security companies — company emblems, duty and title stripes, personnel name tags
- Site and residential security — site names and management emblems
- Shopping mall and facility security — facility identity and unit emblems
- Event and organisation security — temporary duty emblems and team distinctions
- In-house security units — factory, port, hospital, and campus security
2. First, the legislation: badges are also subject to approval
Private security uniforms are not freely designed clothing. Under Law No. 5188 and related dress regulations, uniforms and elements completing the uniform are submitted for approval by the provincial private security commission after being determined by the security unit. The company name, emblem, and logo are also part of this whole.
The second and most frequently overlooked rule is this: private security uniforms cannot have the same colours, forms, and motifs as those used by the Turkish Armed Forces as well as general and special law enforcement forces. This directly affects badge design as well. Designs resembling stars, laurel branches, shield forms reminiscent of law enforcement badges, and official unit emblems are therefore risky.
In practice, the process works like this: you determine the design, you get the approval, we produce the approved design. We do not provide legal advice on the approval process and do not guarantee that a design will be approved. However, before going into production, we will check your design and inform you if we notice any points that resemble law enforcement emblems. The cost of a batch of badges produced without approval is significantly higher than a simple email exchange.
Suggestion: Send us the exact visual you presented to the commission. Later minor colour and form changes may mean deviation from the approved design.
3. A typical badge set for a security firm
| Company emblem | It is the same for all personnel. One design, high quantity; this is the item where the unit price drops the most. |
|---|---|
| Duty or title stripe | Information like security officer, supervisor, shift leader. There will be a limited number of different designs. |
| Name tag | It is specific to an individual; each name is counted as a separate design and is renewed as personnel changes. |
| Project or point emblem | It is used to distinguish teams working in different areas. If made with Velcro, it can be changed in one piece when personnel switch fields. |
Since the quantity discount works according to the quantity of each design, collecting the company emblem that is the same for everyone into a single item significantly reduces total costs. Name tags are already produced individually; they need to be planned separately.
4. Why TPU badge (patch)
Security uniforms are washed frequently, used outdoors, and may not remain with the same person throughout the year. An embroidered badge can become dull in this cycle, the edges may fray, and moisture can be absorbed by its texture. The surface of a TPU badge is closed.
| Washing | Resistant to normal machine washing; does not swell, fade, or fray at the edges |
|---|---|
| Outdoor | Does not absorb water, retains colour in sunlight, can be cleaned with a damp cloth if dirty |
| Readability | Small texts like company names and titles remain clear in UV printing; they blur in embroidery |
| Appearance | The 3D embossed surface appears more corporate and of higher quality compared to flat printing |
| Detail | Fine lines, shadow transitions, and colour tones come out true to the design |
A warning: the badges we produce are not reflective. In places where night visibility is required, a badge does not replace a reflective strip; both should be used together.
5. With Velcro or without Velcro
The determining factor in this sector is personnel turnover.
| With Velcro | If the uniform is to be exchanged among personnel, this is the right choice. The name tag and duty stripe can be removed and replaced; there is no need to change the entire uniform. During transition between fields, the project emblem can also be changed in one go. |
|---|---|
| Without Velcro | Preferred for uniforms that remain fixed to the individual and unchanging company emblems. It stays flat, is suitable for frequent washing, and significantly reduces unit costs. |
A common and economical solution is to combine the two: the company emblem can be sewn or ironed on, while the name tag and duty stripe can be made with Velcro. This way, only small parts are replaced when personnel changes.
6. Size Selection
| Size | Where It Is Used |
|---|---|
| 5–6 cm | Shirt chest, name tag, cap and beanie |
| 7 cm | Polo and t-shirt chest, duty strap |
| 8–9 cm | Jacket and vest chest, sleeve patch, back writing |
Size is the longest side of the badge. For a company badge that needs to be recognised from a distance, 8–9 cm gives balanced results, while 5–6 cm is suitable for chest name tags.
7. Price
The table below is for a 9 cm Velcro badge; prices include VAT and are based on current prices. Discounts go up to %65 as quantity increases.
| Quantity | Quantity discount | Unit price | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | — | $6.94 | $69.44 |
| 20 | %10 | $6.25 | $125.00 |
| 40 | %20 | $5.56 | $222.22 |
| 60 | %40 | $4.17 | $250.00 |
| 100 | %50 | $3.47 | $347.22 |
| 250 | %60 | $2.78 | $694.44 |
| 500 | %65 | $2.43 | $1,215.28 |
The unit price is lower for the preferred non-Velcro option for a company badge that will remain fixed: {{birim_cirtsiz_50}} for 50 pieces, $1.81 for 100 pieces, $1.26 for 500 pieces, {{birim_cirtsiz_1000}} for 1,000 pieces.

8. Staff Turnover and Backup Planning
In the security sector, staff turnover is high. Companies that order badges equal to their full manpower often have to reorder a few months later for three or five pieces; that order must also be at least 10 pieces and wait for its own production time.
A practical rule: add a reasonable backup quantity over the number of personnel for the company badge. Because the unit price generally decreases with quantity, ordering extras typically ends up being cheaper than the total cost of a second order. For name tags, however, having extras is meaningless; they need to be planned on a personnel basis.
9. Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell us if our design complies with the regulations?
No, we do not provide legal opinions on this matter and we do not undertake to approve. The approval process is conducted on your side. We will only inform you if we notice anything that stands out in terms of resemblance to law enforcement emblems during pre-production review.
Our approved visual is low resolution, what should we do?
Send what you have. A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or a PDF with vectors) is best; otherwise, a clear visual of at least 1000 pixels wide will also suffice. If it’s inadequate, we will contact you before proceeding with production.
Can we order different badges for different projects in the same order?
You can. Each design is its own item and the discount applies based on the quantity of each design.
Can we print staff name tags individually?
You can. Each name counts as a separate design; when you send the name list, we will produce them all in the same order.
What is the delivery time?
Production takes 3 working days after payment approval, followed by shipping time. Shipping costs $7.78; orders of $80.56 and above ship free.
